Lacoste – a symbol of casual elegance. The French fashion brand Lacoste is one of the most famous in the world. The company was founded in 1933 by a French tennis player named René Lacoste and at first focused on manufacturing clothing and equipment specifically designed for sport.

René Lacoste is not only responsible for giving the company his name, but also inventing its famous logo. The green crocodile came from the nickname Lacoste received after sharing the story of how his Davis Cup captain had promised him to buy him a suitcase made of crocodile leather if he wins an important match.

Lacoste fragrances are owned by the international corporation Procter & Gamble. The first Lacoste perfume, Lacoste for Men, was introduced in 1984, followed by a range of fragrances for both men and women, most of them inspired by sport.

These days, Lacoste has become a symbol of casual elegance and its perfumes are international bestsellers.
